Please accept my condolences. I was sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I knew Fred back in the old Sir George Williams University days when I worked in the Admissions Office. Judy was just down the hall in Exams, which, ironically enough is now my job at Concordia.
Condolence: Dear members of the Bedford family please accept my condolences on the loss of your dear Fred. As a student at Loyola High in the mid 40's he made a great contribution to my development. Prof. Fred was always congenial and offered lots of support and encouragement as I tried to Master math. He was a favorite teacher and has influenced me over my lifetime. I last spent time with Fred on the occasion of Loyola High's 50th anniversary in 1999. A contribution in his memory is being made to the class of 49' Bursary Fund.Sincerely, Frank McLaughlin
Condolence: My condolences to all the family. Having known Fred for just 2 school years way back in the 60's when I had the pleasure to take 3 Math classes with him - I can honestly say he left a distinct impression on me and my love for the subject. He was a superb professor who genuinely showed his interest in his students and made a point of learning from his exams what a student knew rather than what he didn't know. I can attest for that he called me "clot" when he spotted something on a final before just I handed it in and with a chuckle allowed me to make the obvious correction. He was rewarded at the Stanley by me and others - He was special.
I have so many fond childhood memories of you and Uncle Fred at your home with Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Fred always made everyone around him feel special, including myself. I will never forget Uncle Fred asking me to dance with him at Grandma and Grandpa's 40th Anniversary party. He told me I was a wonderful dancer, even though I'm sure I stepped on his toes several times! He was a wonderful man and he will be missed very much.
Scott and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. As you know, I absolutely loved spending time with you and Freddie when I was a kid growing up in Avonmore. I will cherish those memories forever. I miss you and wish you comfort in this time of sorrow.
